The best value our clients receive are accurate monthly financial statements that highlight how they are doing – what is making money and what is not. A close second is arranging bank financing.
What is the biggest change you have seen in the industry since you started?
Easy to use QuickBooks! Before QuickBooks accounting software was cumbersome, difficult to set up and use.
I didn’t set out to write the book initially… One day it dawned on me that I should write a book using these articles.

Describe your experience writing The Contractor’s Guide to QuickBooks.
I didn’t set out to write the book initially. I had prepared several “how to” writeups for clients that explained in detail how to process certain construction transactions such as how to do progress billing. One day it dawned on me that I should write a book using these articles. I created a table of contents and started writing. I also hired a professional book editor and she was a great help.
What do you feel is the biggest challenge facing accountants today?
I would say never ending changes in the tax law.
